Bulandshahr wins kabaddi tournament, Bijnor finishes second
Moradabad: Bulandshahr's kabaddi team won the title game of the Sahu Omkar Saran Kothiwal Kabaddi tournament that concluded in Moradabad on Saturday. Bijnor's team finished second in the tally.
Eight teams from Moradabad and Meerut divisions participated in the two-day-long tournament held at Moradabad-based Hindu College.
Dr SS Rawat, principal, Hindu College, told TOI, “In addition to trophies, a cash prize of Rs 51,000 was given to the winning team and Rs 21,000 to the runner-up team. The tournament will encourage the sport in the region.”
Abhishek Singh, part of India's national kabaddi team, also attended the event.
