Two held for murdering neighbour

COIMBATORE: A 37-year-old sanitary worker was stabbed to death by his neighbours after he refused to give them money to buy liquor at Seelakampatti on the outskirts of the city on Sunday evening.

. Polie said, V Murugan, 26, and his younger brother V Jaikumar, 24, from Seelakampatti village, approached Saravanakumar seeking money to buy liquor. When Saravanakumar refused, Murugan took out a scissor and stabbed him on his chest and abdomen, killing him on the spot. The then escaped from the spot.

Saravanakumar’s wife Chitra, 30, lodged a complaint with the Gomangalam police, who registered a case against and arrested Murugan and Jaikumar on Sunday night. Both of them were lodged at the
