Satyaraj of Thiruvottiyur police picked up the accused from near the
Wimco Nagar
railway station. Satyaraj complained after he lost his mobile phone, watch and 1,000 on Friday when he was waylaid by Irfan, who used a knife to threaten the victim to part with his valuables. During investigation, police found that Irfan and an accomplice had been waylaying pedestrians and that he had nine robbery cases against his name.
