Constable found dead at Egmore police quarters

Chennai: The Egmore police initiated an investigation into the sudden death of a 28-year-old Grade II police constable whose body was discovered in the Armed Reserve quarters on Thursday.The deceased was identified as Subramani, a resident of Villupuram district, a 2017-batch policeman attached to the H Company of the 37th Platoon.
Subramani was on medical leave since Feb 1 to prepare for the physical endurance test of the sub-inspector recruitment, after recently clearing the written examination. For the past three months, he resided at the new AR quarters in Egmore with his colleagues. The Egmore police registered a case and are investigating.TNN
