Preliminary investigations revealed that around 5.30 am, morning walkers saw Madhusudhanan lying unconscious in a pool of blood and alerted the guards and police. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police said it appears that the businessman committed suicide as he was upset over his daughter's troubled marital life. Due to a difference of opinion with her husband and constant physical attacks, his daughter had returned to her parent's house in Chennai in January this year.
Police said the family had moved to the apartment in TAISHA four years ago. Madhusudhanan was a real estate businessman, primarily dealing with projects in southern Tamil Nadu, especially in Tuticorin and Tirunelveli. Virugambakkam police have registered a case and are investigating.
