Bomb threat to actors Trisha, Sachu

Chennai: City police rushed bomb disposal teams to residences of actors Trisha and Sachu on Saturday after an anonymous email warned that explosives were planted there. Police later said it was a hoax mail. An email sent to DGP's control room said bombs were placed at the homes of Trisha on Cenotaph Road, Alwarpet, and that of Sachu in Sriram Colony, Raja Annamalaipuram. Bomb squad and police units from Alwarpet and Abhiramapuram searched the places with sniffer dogs and metal detectors. No explosive material was found. A similar email last week claimed a bomb was planted at PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss's house in T Nagar.
