Annamalai to disclose his future course of action during a social media interaction at Friday noon

CHENNAI: Former BJP Tamil Nadu president K Annamalai is expected to disclose his future course of action during a social media interaction on Friday, intensifying speculation that he might launch a new political party.

Taking to social media, Annamalai posted: “Tomorrow at 12 noon, I eagerly look forward to interacting with you all on social media to share my thoughts and have an open, heart-to-heart conversation.” He also shared a link for the online session.

Annamalai has been camping in Delhi since Monday, where he met Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Nitin Nabin and national organizational general secretary B L Santhosh to convey his decision to quit the party. Sources said he has extended his stay in the national capital to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
