Chandigarh:
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president
Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday alleged that immediately after his visit to Jagraon-based Nanaksar sect chief Sant Baba Ghala Singh, the AAP-led govt in Punjab withdrew the security of the latter.
Sukhbir said the sect chief had "extended support" to the SAD.

In a post on X late Sunday evening, Sukhbir wrote: "It is really shocking that immediately after my visit to Nanaksar and the support extended to the Shiromani Akali Dal by Sant Baba Ghala Singh Ji, his security was withdrawn by the @AamAadmiParty govt. I strongly condemn this action."
He added: "This move is akin to the security withdrawal from Sidhu Moose Wala, which had tragic consequences."
The Akali Dal chief further wrote: "I want to make it clear, if any untoward incident occurs at Nanaksar or affects the life and security of Sant Baba Ghala Singh Ji, chief minister @BhagwantMann and @DGPPunjabPolice will be directly responsible."
Along with the post, Sukhbir also shared a 50 second video clip in which the sect chief, in the presence of Sukhbir, was seen and heard making an announcement to extend support to the SAD in the 2027 Punjab elections.
