Saini assures support to bizmen amid Middle East crisis
Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday assured traders and industrialists of full govt support amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, saying the situation had adversely affected industries, especially the import-export sector.Addressing representatives of industrial and traders' associations from the NCR region at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, Saini said Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed concern over the global situation and stressed the need to closely monitor even minor issues affecting businesses.Drawing parallels with the COVID-19 pandemic, the CM said industries and the govt would jointly overcome the present challenges as well. He announced that Haryana's new industrial policy received Cabinet approval and incorporated suggestions from industry stakeholders to create a more business-friendly environment.Saini also announced enhanced freight subsidy, incentives for testing equipment, extension of MSME benefits to more industries, and apprenticeship assistance of Rs 15,000 a month for six months per candidate. He further said high-capacity fire tenders would be deployed in Gurugram, Sonipat and Faridabad, while metro and RRTS connectivity expansion in NCR districts was already underway.
