Nehra khap demands action against Badshah

Rohtak: Members of the Nehra khap in Rohtak's Meham have submitted a memorandum addressed to the chief minister through the SDM on Friday, demanding strict legal action against rapper Badshah and the concerned school staff. The demand came in protest against a recently released Haryanvi song that allegedly shows schoolgirls dancing on the roof of a Haryana Roadways bus while wearing school uniforms, along with what the Khap termed objectionable lyrics.Nehra youth national president Sandeep Nehra of Nindana village said the video depicts schoolgirls dancing on top of a Haryana Roadways bus. He objected to a line in the song in which the artist, referring to himself as "Badshah", talks about making girls his "ghodi" (mare), calling it highly objectionable and condemnable. The Khap demanded that legal action be initiated against Badshah and that he be sent to jail. Nehra stated that Haryana is known for its rich culture, strong social values, and tradition of respecting women. He said songs of this nature damage the cultural identity of the state and send a wrong message to the younger generation, undermining social norms and values.
Registering strong protest over the issue, Nehra Khap urged the state govt and chief minister Nayab Singh Saini to impose an immediate ban on the song. The khap also appealed to the CM and education minister Mahipal Dhanda to take action against the principal and teachers of the govt school whose students were allegedly used for the dance sequence, demanding their dismissal.
