Former Akali MP, AAP leader join Cong

CHANDIGARH: Former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and Rajya Sabha ex-MP Varinder Singh Bajwa, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener of Shri Hargobindpur Harvinder Pal Singh and some other Akali leaders joined Congress on Thursday. PPCC chief Amarinder Singh along with party's Punjab affairs in-charge Asha Kumari welcomed them.
Bajwa was also a member of the SAD's political affairs committee.Another SAD leader to join PPCC was general secretary Ram Parkash, brother of Kabir Das who recently left Punjab Congress to join the Akalis. Ram Parkash said he was disillusioned by the SAD. tnn
