Final rehearsal held for Haryana’s maiden air show today

Hisar: The Surya Kiran aerobatic team of the Indian Air Force conducted its final rehearsal on Saturday for Haryana's first-ever air show, scheduled for Sept 21 at the Maharaja Agrasen Airport complex in Hisar. The event is being organised jointly by the GOC Dot Division and the district administration.Deputy commissioner Anish Yadav urged residents to take their seats before 9 am on Sunday to avoid inconvenience. He clarified that spectators will only be permitted to bring caps and drinking water inside the venue.The Surya Kiran team's aerial manoeuvres during the rehearsal left the audience spellbound. Hundreds of Hisar residents, along with Army personnel, their families, NCC cadets, and students of the Army Public School, witnessed the practice session with great enthusiasm.After the rehearsal, DC Anish Yadav, superintendent of police Shashank Sawan, the GOC Dot Division, and senior officials of the district administration reviewed arrangements to ensure a smooth and grand event. Yadav said apart from the Surya Kiran team, other Air Force aircraft will also perform stunts on Sunday. Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini will attend Haryana's maiden air show as the chief guest. For security reasons, the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, and Maharaja Agrasen Airport areas have been declared red zones. Orders have also been issued to implement Section 163.CM to inaugurate agri fair, new facilities at CCS HAUChief minister Nayab Singh Saini will inaugurate the newly constructed fairground and two women hostels at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University on Sunday, built at a cost of Rs 15.66 crore, along with the agricultural fair. University vice chancellor Prof B R Kamboj said the chief minister will also inaugurate the Dattopant Thengadi Agricultural Entrepreneurship Site (fairground), developed at a cost of Rs 1.10 crore with a green grass carpet. During the fair, the CM will felicitate 42 progressive farmers from across the state — two from each district. Agriculture and farmers' welfare minister Shyam Singh Rana, public health engineering and public works minister Ranbir Gangwa, and Nalwa MLA Randhir Singh Panihar will also attend the event.9,410 km of road projects to be inauguratedPublic works and public health engineering minister Ranbir Gangwa said CM Nayab Singh Saini will also inaugurate carpeting and construction works on 4,227 roads covering 9,410 km under the Regional Road Upgradation Scheme at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology. The govt has sanctioned Rs 4,827 crore for these projects.
