CM Bhagwant Mann pays tribute to Bhagat Singh in Khatkar Kalan

Khatkar Kalan: Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday paid tributes to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their martyrdom day and reiterated his government's commitment to honouring their legacy and building a "Rangla Punjab" in line with their ideals.Addressing a gathering, Mann said the occasion was not only to remember the martyrs' sacrifice but also to follow their principles and stand against injustice.He also raised the issue of the Bharat Ratna for the three revolutionaries, questioning why the country's highest civilian honour has not been conferred on them so far.Highlighting Punjab's contribution to the freedom struggle, the chief minister said the state govt is committed to fulfilling the vision of Bhagat Singh and building an egalitarian society. He added that several welfare and development initiatives have been undertaken in this direction.
