At Uchana Kalan, CM targets Congress, Chautalas
Jind: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Chautala family, Birender Singh and the Congress party, claiming that they were only interested in getting votes and not in people's welfare.Addressing a ‘Dhanyawad' (thanksgiving) rally in the Uchana Kalan segment of Jind district, CM Nayab Singh Saini said the Congress party always lured the people with promises to secure votes but ignored them after forming the govt.
The rally was organised by local BJP MLA Devender Chaturbhuj Atri and was attended by deputy speaker Krishan Midda, minister Krishan Bedi, his cabinet colleague Ranbir Gangwa, and several other party leaders.Saini said the BJP govt spent Rs 1,000 crore in the last 11 years alone in the Uchana Kalan segment, whereas the Congress spent only Rs 300 crore during its tenure from 2005 to 2014.He further said the people should understand how the Congress neglected the constituency despite ruling the state for a decade. The CM, echoing Krishan Bedi's remarks from the stage, also took a jibe at Abhay Chautala and his Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), saying their condition is such that ‘gadhi ghar pair peet rahi hai lekin bhada shamli ka bhar rahe hai', implying that the Chautala family has lost its political ground.Attacking the Congress, he said the voters completely rejected the party in the elections. Saini claimed that the Congress was still in shock and was not able to recover. In the upcoming elections, he said, the Congress would be completely wiped out. The party is finished and has lost its place in the hearts of the people, he said. The CM further said before the elections, the Congress approached the Election Commission to halt recruitment results, and these were subsequently stayed. However, Saini said, he promised to take oath later but ensured that the youth were given the joining first, and he fulfilled that promise. After the elections, I took charge later but ensured that 25,000 youths joined their duties first, he said while accusing the Congress of being anti-youth.Saini said the Congress party's only work was to spread misinformation. He said they were making desperate attempts to raise issues for political mileage, but had nothing substantial at their hands. He said to curb corruption under the cover of MGNREGA, the central govt launched the Viksit Bharat – G Ram G and increased the guarantee of employment from 100 days to 125 days. Additionally, Rs 1,51,282 crore was allocated for this purpose. However, the Congress started spreading misinformation about this as well. The CM also said Congress only tells lies. It also promised 24-hour electricity but failed to deliver anything. The Congress also tried to mislead the state on the issue of pensions, he added.Saini hits at Cong-AAP alliance (Box)CM Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday claimed that the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party contest elections together. He said they did the same during the Lok Sabha elections in Kurukshetra, but the public taught them a lesson. The Aam Aadmi Party promised in Punjab to provide Rs 1,000 to women, but with only seven-eight months left before the elections, no one received anything so far, said Saini. In contrast, he said, the BJP govt in Haryana launched the ‘Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana' to provide economic and social security to the women and girls. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 2,100 is provided. So far, more than 9.22 lakh women and girls were given Rs 634 crore, he added. The CM further said in the last year, 36,000 youths were given govt jobs without recommendation or bribe. In all, a total of 1.80 lakh jobs were provided in the last 11 years.Development works inaugurated (Box)Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for several projects and also inaugurated works worth Rs 103 crore in Uchana Kalan.MSID:: 128507913 413 |
