857 ‘Tateeree’ links taken down as Haryana Police intensify crackdown
Chandigarh: Haryana Police have removed 857 online links related to the objectionable song "Tateeree", including 154 YouTube videos and 703 Instagram reels, as part of an intensified crackdown across digital platforms.According to Panchkula police, the action is being carried out in coordination with social media platforms through due legal process.

Notices have been issued to platforms, directing them to remove all versions of the song, including re-uploads, short videos and other formats, particularly those containing derogatory references to women and minors.Director general of police Ajay Singhal said any content undermining the dignity of women and minors would not be tolerated, adding that strict legal action would continue.He said monitoring of digital platforms has been strengthened to ensure compliance and send a strong deterrent message.Additional DGP and Panchkula police commissioner Shibas Kabiraj warned that those creating or sharing reels or videos using the song could face legal action, including blocking of social media accounts and stricter provisions for repeat offenders.
