7 held for illegal sex determination test

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Police arrested five men and two women for conducting illegal sex determination tests of foetus in Yamunanagar.Jasbir from Ramgarh in Mullana, Gurmeet Singh from Salempur, Minto from Radauri, Ajit from Saharanpur and Om Singh from Uttar Pradesh were nabbed for clandestinely conducting the test on several women.A team was formed following orders from deputy commissioner of police and a decoy patient was deployed to nab the culprits. Those arrested have been sent to jail and Minto has been remanded in police custody. During investigation, Minto revealed that another accused, Ajit, used to conduct the tests. He was later arrested and remanded in police custody.
