Sambalpur to host lawyer’s conference

Bhubaneswar: Sambalpur will host the annual conference of All Odisha Lawyers' Association (AOLA) on Dec 29 and 30. This marks a breakthrough as the lawyers' association has united after over a decade. The merger, facilitated by Sambalpur bar association, promises renewed collaboration among lawyers statewide. At a joint press conference, factional leaders Sisir Padhi and Bibhu Prasad Tripathy announced the merger. Padhi has been named president and Tripathy acting president. Tripathy called for the establishment of an advocates' academy and the withdrawal of pending cases against Sambalpur lawyers. TNN
