Keonjhar: A 32-year-old man, who came visiting his sister’s house in Kadagada village under Sadar police station, for Savitri Puja on Friday, was found dead in a forest near Bhatunia village under Sadar police station limits on Saturday under mysterious circumstances.The deceased has been identified as Lalatendu Dehuri, (32), of Raikala village, Rajnagar panchayat, Patna block. On being alerted, police rushed to the spot on Saturday afternoon, seized the body and began a probe.Sources said Lalatendu’s sister, Tapaswini, married Sanjay Kumar Dehuri in Kadgarh village, under Sadar police station, few years ago. He had come to Kadagada with some puja items for the puja on Friday. On Saturday, he started the journey back home but never reached Raikala village.After searching for him, his body was recovered from the forest near Bhatunia village around 2 pm. His body was sent to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy. Suspecting that he was murdered by a group, the deceased’s brother-in-law lodged a complaint at Sadar police station. Police investigations are on. No arrest has been made in this connection.The district police headquarters said after conducting a preliminary investigation in a media release on Sunday that on Saturday between 9 am and 10 am, Lalatendu left his sister’s house to return home. But his body was found in the forest area of Bhatunia village. A police scientific team reached the spot and investigated. Preliminary probe could not find any sign of assault or internal/external injury on his body. Therefore, a probe is underway from all angles.
