Majhi to lead investment roadshow in Hyd tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The ‘Invest Odisha Hyderabad Summit', an investors' meet, is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on Friday, with chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi leading the roadshow.Industries minister Sampad Chandra Swain said the Hyderabad roadshow is a significant step towards deepening collaborative engagement with industry leaders and investors. "This outreach will strengthen Odisha's industrial base and further our vision of transforming the state into a hub of innovation, opportunity and sustainable development," he said. Industries secretary Hemant Sharma said while govt officials have touched base with many prospective investors, projects on chemicals, metal downstream and pharmaceutical sectors are key focus areas in the Hyderabad meet. "We hope to sign many MoUs in these sectors," he said.As part of the roadshow, the Odisha delegation will hold one-on-one meetings with industry captains, senior leaders of top companies, and participate in a roundtable discussion with key industry stakeholders.During these interactions, the state will showcase its dedicated industrial parks, robust infrastructure, land availability, skilled workforce, progressive policies and streamlined single-window clearance systems.Sources said Odisha govt, Shreetech Data Limited (India) and Orange Business Services (France) will formally sign an MoU for Rs 2,600 crore investment by Shreetech for an underwater cable landing system, the first such subsea facility along the east coast.As part of this partnership, Shreetech Data Limited plans to build an integrated, next-generation digital infrastructure ecosystem that includes a carrier-neutral subsea cable landing station (CLS), a Singapore-connected subsea cable system, and an AI-ready hyperscale data centre campus.
