Watch: UP man forces dog to drink alcohol in viral video; arrested for animal cruelty

BAGHPAT: A man has been arrested after a video circulated online allegedly showing him abusing a dog and making it drink alcohol, officials said.Police identified the accused as Jitendra, also known as Ballam, a resident of Kirthal village.The video showed the accused subjecting the animal to cruelty and making it consume an intoxicating substance from a liquor bottle.Following the circulation of the video online, the Baghpat social media cell and Ramala police station took cognisance of the incident and initiated an inquiry.He was arrested on Sunday from the Ramala police station area. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and further legal action is being taken, police said.
