Labourers arrested from Bengal for killing co-worker
Berhampur: Two workers were arrested from West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Sunday for killing a co-worker from the same district at Pandia in Ganjam district on Aug 24. The accused, Sheikh Sundar (28) and Sheikh Kareem (19), had fled to their native place, Ghanshyampur village, after killing Lokman Sheikh (45) of Debadashopur on Aug 24, said Rajesh Nayak, inspector in-charge, Purushottampur police station.The duo killed Lokman with an axe following an argument over sharing of fish curry at the Pandia camp, where they were all residing while working on a nearby bridge project. They dumped the body in some bushes and fled. The body was found on Aug 27. Purshottampur police suspected their involvement in the murder as the duo was missing from the camp while the others were present.
