BHOPAL: People in Shivpuri district went sleepless after two crocodiles crawled out of a drain and onto Siddheshwar Mandir Marg, right near an ice factory on Sunday night.The reptiles were spotted slithering around the culvert as a stunned passerby filmed the dramatic scene. The drain, which connects to the crocodile-infested Sankhya Sagar Lake, has long been known as a secret passage for these reptiles. Residents say sightings have increased, especially during the monsoon when water currents are strong. The municipality had installed iron nets to block the reptiles' path, which the crocodiles broke through with ease. Locals are demanding safety measures before a close encounter turns into a tragedy.Woman & Nephew Electrocuted In ChhindwaraAn elderly woman was electrocuted after she came in contact with an electric pole in Chhindwara district. Her nephew, who rushed to rescue her, too got electrocuted. The incident took place at Gaigohan village.
