Tractor-trolley overturns in MP’s Anuppur; 4 killed

ANUPPUR: Four people died in a road accident early Sunday after a tractor-trolley went out of control and overturned by the roadside in Anuppur, police said. The accident occurred in the Karanpathar police station area when the vehicle, coming from Dindori’s Karanjia, was on its way to Anuppur to collect crushed gravel, an official said. The tractor reportedly lost control and overturned, trapping its occupants, who died on the spot, Karanpathar station house officer Birendra Varkade told reporters. Police teams rushed to the spot and launched efforts to lift the overturned vehicle and retrieve the bodies, he said. The deceased were yet to be identified as rescue operations were still underway, the official added, noting that the victims were believed to be from Dindori.
