Elevates welfare: BJP; betrays public, hides debt & deficit: Cong
While the BJP described a budget as a historic document that will elevate welfare in state, Congress termed it a ‘budget of betrayal that hides debt and deficit.'State BJP president Hemant Khandelwal said, "The budget will further pave the way for prosperity for the 4 castes mentioned by PM Modi: the poor, youth, women, and farmers." He argued that it reflects the BJP's commitment to bringing prosperity to the lives of the last person in the last row.

He further said that the budget includes special provisions for cow shelters and plans to provide 100,000 solar pumps to farmers. On the other hand, former CM and Congress leader Kamal Nath said, "The budget is nothing but lip service, completely omitting any public interest concerns." State Congress President Jitu Patwari called it a "thug budget". Patwari said that behind the massive budget of Rs 4.38 lakh crore, a fiscal deficit of Rs 78,000 crore was hidden, and the govt was yet to clearly explain where this money would be raised. "This financial mismanagement is evidence of misleading the public and pushing the state into a debt trap. CM Yadav should stop worrying about sterilising dogs and instead sterilise his govt's corruption," Patwari said.
