Jabalpur: Two suspicious deaths within 24 hours have sown panic in Madhya Pradesh's Mandla district, with bodies found at a playground and near the Narmada river's Kumbh site.A 35-year-old daily wage laborer, Prabhu Maravi from Keharpur village, was discovered soaked in blood at a Maharajpur playground on Monday, bearing deep head and neck wounds suggestive of murder. His slippers lay nearby; police have sent the body for postmortem and are scanning local CCTV footage. Not far away, near Kotwali police limits by the Kumbh site, a youth was found hanging from a tree, his body roughly five to six days old, with a young woman's mutilated corpse in bushes 100 meters away. Both had been missing since March 24; prior complaints included a missing person report for him and an abduction case for her at Maharajpur station. Police are pursuing angles including a possible relationship or murder, awaiting postmortem reports to pinpoint cause and timing.
