Docs found absent at district hospital in surprise inspection, notices served
Bhopal: Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Bhopal, Dr Manish Sharma made a surprise evening visit to JP hospital’s OPD on Wednesday.
According to a press release, between 5:15 and 5:30 PM, Dr Sharma inspected through dentistry, ophthalmology, psychiatry, orthopedics, general medicine, surgery, ENT and dermatology wings of the district hospital. Most doctors were at their posts, but three were absent, Dr Neelima Soni, Dr Jay Kumar Sahu and Dr Neelu Gupta.
Following the inspection, the CMHO issued notices to the doctors found to be absent. Notices had also been issued to doctors found absent during inspections conducted in recent days. However, as a result of these periodic inspections, the majority of the doctors were found to be present during the latest visit, an official said.
