CJ inaugurates WiFi project, FRS & audio, video spots
Bhopal/Jabalpur: Chief justice of MP high court R V Malimath on Sunday inaugurated integrated WiFi project and face recognition system (FRS) based attendance monitoring system, and launched video and audio spots for the publicity of e-Courts services in presence of other Madhya Pradesh high court judges and district court judges.It is in furtherance to various e-initiatives by adoption and integration of new technologies to prepare Madhya Pradesh Judiciary for digital era, said a press release issued following the programme. During the e-inauguration of projects Justice Malimath said that these projects will ease the life of litigants and every litigant will know how these improvements will help them. The integrated Wi-Fi project will improve the connectivity at district courts and provide the internet facility to all stakeholders and users anytime within court premises. The integrated Wi-Fi project will facilitate easy access to the internet and enhance the ease of communication by means of mobile governance, customised alerts, dissemination of information like case status, cause list and more.Under the Wi-Fi project, a total of 1,100 access points have been installed at 47 district courts of Madhya Pradesh for creating a Wi-Fi network at every court complex. The users include judges, advocates, staff members, general users and public at large.Under the Wi-Fi project, 49 high capacity layer-III network switches have been installed at district courts and this will help in upgradation of network infrastructure at high court and district courts with multitude benefits in management of network infrastructure with better network security and connectivity.The second project e-inaugurated is FRS based attendance monitoring system for the high court and district courts. This is a unique type of project for marking and monitoring of attendance of officers and employees of the HC, district and tehsil courts. Under Phase-I, the FRS (face recognition system) based attendance monitoring system was installed at high court and district courts The installed FRS Machines have the feature of combination of Face + card and supports a deep learning algorithm & multi-face authentication. It has features like liveness detection and anti-spoofing, artificial intelligence enabled no mask detection, pre-enrolment using mobile phone and uploading existing photo.A total of 572 of FRS machines have been successfully installed and commissioned at all district and tehsil courts in Madhya Pradesh. For the high courts, including Jabalpur and its Benches at Indore and Gwalior, 20 FRS machines were commissioned. The centralized attendance monitoring software has been installed in the server room of the Jabalpur high court.The third project launched on Sunday is video and audio spots for publicity of e-Courts services. Under this project, in order to provide the facility of various e-Courts initiatives to the public at large, six video spots and four audio spots were prepared. These audio and video spots will help in publicity of e-courts related applications and services for respective stakeholders. These video and audio spots highlight the applications related to mobile apps, website of the high court, e-Sewa Kendra and other related e-Courts services, said the press release.
