Bhopal: The police have ascertained the identity of the man who was found murdered by morning walkers in the BHEL area on Saturday. Police said the deceased was identified as Tarachand Patel, 46, a resident of Mandideep.
Police said he was married and has kids. He worked as a laborer. With the help of social media, the identity of the deceased was ascertained and matter remains under investigation to unfold murder mystery. Police said the murder appears to be a crime of passion and underlined that it was close to crack the case.

Panic gripped the Govindpura area after the body of an unidentified man was found lying in bushes near the BHEL Sports Club on Saturday morning.
According to police, some morning walkers spotted the body lying about 80 metres inside a plantation area from the road behind the BHEL Sports Club, towards the Saket Nagar side. They immediately informed the police.
A team from the Govindpura police station, along with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) unit, reached the spot and conducted a preliminary inspection before sending the body to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
No identification documents were recovered from the body that could help in his identification.
Police said the deceased man's throat was slit and his head was smashed with a stone, confirming that he was murdered. Police shared the details and photographs of the deceased on social media platforms and with neighbouring police stations to ascertain his identity. A case of murder against unknown persons will be registered after receipt of the post-mortem report, police said a day ago.
