2 women injured after bag snatched by duo on bike

Bhopal: A late-night snatching incident in Govindpura left two women injured after duo on a bike miscreants targeted them and snatched a bag, causing their scooter to lose balance and crash on the road on Saturday.They were rushed to hospital. One among the injured woman sustained head injury while other sustained injury on shoulder and other body parts.The Govindpura police registered a case against unidentified accused and initiated investigation. Identity of the accused was yet to be ascertained.Police stated Jyoti is the complainant in the case, while the woman riding pillion with her scooter was Kasturi.As per the FIR the complainant Jyoti stated, "I went with my friend Kasturi to the house of our friend Neetu in Narela Shankari for some work on my Activa on Saturday.While returning home to Pushpa Nagar with Kasturi, I was riding the Activa and Kasturi was sitting behind me with her side bag hanging on her shoulder.When we reached the main road in front of the water tank near TRT market about 9:45 pm, two unknown persons came on a motorcycle and snatched Kasturi's bag. Due to the snatching, our Activa got unbalanced and we both fell on the road.As a result, I sustained injuries on my right shoulder, and Kasturi sustained injuries on her head and right hand. Kasturi Rathore's bag contained Rs 1200 in cash and a mobile phone.After snatching the bag, both youths fled from the spot. Passersby admitted us to a private for treatment. I could not note the motorcycle number. I am reporting the matter for necessary action", she stated to the police.
