One more person stabbed by a 30-year-old daily-wage labourer, who went on the rampage in Cottonpet on Sunday, succumbed to injuries in a hospital on Monday. The deceased is Rajesh, 30, a daily-wage worker.

BENGALURU: One more person stabbed by a 30-year-old daily-wage labourer, who went on the rampage in Cottonpet on Sunday, succumbed to injuries in a hospital on Monday. The deceased is Rajesh, 30, a daily-wage worker.
The accused, M Ganesh has been remanded in three-day police custody. He allegedly stabbed six persons in 30 minutes on a 2-km stretch in Anjanappa Garden, Chalavadi Palya and Bakshi Garden areas of Cottonpet before he was caught by police.

“Ganesh appears to be mentally unstable and doctors at KC General hospital have referred him to Nimhans,” police said.
Mari R, 30, a labourer, succumbed to injuries on Sunday. Two injured workers —Velayudham and Suresh —underwent surgeries on Monday. Prakash and Anand sustained injuries on their hands and are out of danger.
