Hebbal flyover ramp work cleared

BDA gets SWR’s nod to launch a 33.5-metre girder over Hebbal railway line, part of the long-pending ramp extension of the Hebbal flyover.

2/7

Rail traffic block: May 17–20

SWR will halt train operations for three hours nightly over four days to allow girder placement above the active Yeshwantpur–Omalur rail section.

3/7

Partial closure of Hebbal flyover

During the work, parts of the Hebbal flyover will be closed. Traffic from KIA may be rerouted via BEL Circle or Nagawara to avoid bottlenecks.

4/7

Traffic diversion plans underway

BDA is working with police to keep at least one lane open towards Mehkri Circle to minimize traffic chaos during night construction hours.

5/7

Girder launch strategy set

Seven girders to be launched in four nights using eight cranes. Utility removal and site prep are already complete at the junction.

6/7

Project aligned with rail expansion

The design accommodates future additions of up to six railway lines under the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project, ensuring no interference.

7/7

Ramp now for Nagawara traffic only

To avoid congestion near Esteem Mall, the ramp will now serve vehicles from Nagawara and the NH service road, not those from KIA on Ballari Road.
