B’luru Apartments celebrate Republic Day with pride and togetherness
THE SPIRIT OF PATRIOTISM: Republic Day celebrations at Brigade Lakefront Apartment featured a parade and cultural events
Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon, a song from the movie Son of India, continues to evoke strong emotions among Indians. At Brigade Lakefront, a 1,400-unit apartment complex in Whitefield, children performed the patriotic song on Republic Day. “This time senior citizens also presented a group song to commemorate the occasion,” Krishan Gopal Maheshwari, president of the management committee, told TOI. Republic Day celebrations in Bengaluru apartments have become more vibrant and diverse, moving beyond flag hoisting and speeches. At Assetz 63 Degree East, all internal associations joined hands to organise celebrations. “A flea market was organised where families enjoyed shopping, socialising, and supporting local vendors. The event beautifully reflected the essence of Republic Day—unity in diversity, shared responsibility, and the joy of celebrating our nation together as one community,” said Nikhar Jain, secretary of the Tower B Association at the complex. Kiran Suresh M, president of Prestige Primrose Hills Owners Association believes that apartment dwellers who walk together stay together. “We organised a walkathon as well as cyclothon on the morning of January 26,” he said.
The apartment complex, with 1,450 units, is located near the Silk Institute Metro Station. Hiranandani QueensGate, a 1,400-unit residential community on Bannerghatta Road, celebrated Republic Day with pomp and grandeur.

Elita Promenade hosted a ramp show inspired by Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, featuring Kabta Sinha (security staff) and Prashanth S Aralikkatti (fire officer). The show was directed by Venkatesh Iyengar, a resident.
Elita Promenade in JP Nagar hosted a range of cultural events this year, including multiple dance and singing programmes for all age groups. Manish Agrawal, treasurer of the 1,573-unit apartment complex, said that they set aside a budget of Rs 1 lakh for the celebrations. Performers included office staff, gardeners, security guards, and housekeeping and fire safety personnel. Agrawal noted that the staff play a key role in keeping the 23-acre property clean and green, and said they brought the same energy and enthusiasm to the stage. At Godrej Air, a 600-unit apartment complex near Hoodi Metro Station, Republic Day celebrations brought to light young talent, including six-year-old Rutvi Shinde, who anchored the programme and left the audience mesmerised. Rutvi appeared to enjoy every part of anchoring, including the preparations. A student of National Public School, Whitefield, she also has a fan following on Instagram, her father Bharat said.A celebration of togetherness, patriotism and compassion Embassy Lake Terraces (ELT) kicked off the event with an energetic walkathon, uniting participants in patriotic fervour. It was followed by graceful acts by senior citizens and joyful displays by kids, highlighting India’s unity in diversity. The event concluded with a generous blood donation drive, embodying the community’s shared spirit of service.
