B V Ramamurthy passes away

BANGALORE: Eminent cartoonist B VRamamurthy died of cardiac arrest at New Delhi, family sources saidhere.Ramamurthy, who died in the national capital last night, was 70and leaves behind his wife, a son and two daughters, the sourcessaid.Ramamurthy was a cartoonist for the Deccan Herald and Prajavanigroup for over 50 years.Ramamurthy''s pocket cartoon in the DeccanHerald ''Mr Citizen'' depicted the common man''s agony and problems, besidesportraying the current political developments.The last rites of thedeceased will be performed in the city on Thursday.
