Punjab: Two farmers die during protests

died of cardiac arrest at the ongoing protest outside the residence of BJP district Barnala president Yadwinder Singh Shunty. 70-year-old Malkit Kaur of Mansa died in a road accident at Fatehabad town of Haryana while returning from farmer protest at Delhi border.

Ekta Ugrahan district Barnala general secretary Jarnail Singh Badra said that we were holding meeting to plan for the protest metres away from protest outside BJP district president Yadwinder Shunty’ residence that Sukhdev Singh felt uneasy. He was taken to Barnala civil hospital but was declared dead at the hospital. He was a regular at the protest and left behind wife and a son. The family owned 4 acres of land. The state government should provide compensation to the bereaved family.

Malkit Kaur, who was member of Mazdoor Mukti Morcha was crossing the road at Fatehabad after alighting from the trolley while returning from Delhi protest that a vehicle hit her and she died.
