Very happy with the beginning. Were put under pressure in the beginning, but the way we responded after that - very proud. Played in 2018. It starts soft and then gets quicker. On a given day, experience does matter, but if you have faith you can do something special. Can't ask for anything else. It was his best Test innings probably (talking about Jaiswal). About Virat - I didn't see him out of form at all. On challenging wickets it's hard to judge. He was looking good in the nets. Always enjoy the support (from the crowd).

Fairly disappointing. We thought our prep leading into it was good. Everyone was firing. It's just one of those games.. not much went right. It is what it is. After a loss you want to get back on the horse pretty quickly. We didn't give ourselves a chance - a few different facets. Late on Day 1, if we had got through that period, things would've been different on Day 2. There's a lot of experience there. There will be plenty of conversations, plenty of time in the nets. See what we could've done differently.

Indian cricket team upped their chances of playing the World Test Championship (WTC) final after beating Australia by 295 runs in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth.
Following the win on Day 4 of the first Test of the five-match series, India jumped Australia to take spot in the WTC standings.
India now have 61.11 percentage points from 15 matches played, including 110 points, while Australia are on 57.69 percentage points with 90 points in their kitty after 13 matches.
The top-two teams in the WTC standings in June 2025 will go on to play the World Test Championship final from 16 June at Lord's.
Following the win on Day 4 of the first Test of the five-match series, India jumped Australia to take spot in the WTC standings.
