Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu to address World Economic Forum in New York City

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be travelling to

New York City

in the United States to address a meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on September 24. Naidu will be presenting a paper on Industry 4.0 at the WEF event, J. Krishna Kishore, CEO of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB), said on Friday.


Talking to ToI, Krishna Kishore said that the theme of Naidu’s paper would be on sustainable development. “The APEDB is working on the paper which will focus on

sustainable agriculture

, apart from

sustainable economic development

,” he said.

“The EDB is taking the assistance of various AP government departments for the paper, which will highlight the initiatives taken by the government to provide

user-friendly services

to residents of AP using technology. The technology includes Internet of Things and artificial intelligence,” he said.

Apart from the WEF event, Naidu is also scheduled to visit the headquarters of the United Nations in New York City on 25 September. The next day he will be meeting the leaders of American companies to make a pitch to them to invest in Andhra Pradesh, also in New York, Krishna Kishore said.
