Prayagraj: As part of the Uttar Pradesh govt's Samagra Shiksha Mission, students of Govt Upper Secondary School, Pratapgarh, undertook an educational visit to UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) on Monday. The visit aimed to familiarise students with modern academic and institutional functioning.
UPRTOU vice-chancellor Prof Satyakam interacted with the students and encouraged them to stay connected with traditional sports, emphasising that physical activity boosts energy and improves concentration in studies. He advised students to reduce mobile usage and cultivate a reading habit by engaging with literature, poetry, and stories by eminent writers. He added that the university is committed to supporting learners and delivering education to their doorstep.
The educational tour was coordinated by Prof Devesh Ranjan Tripathi. Students were divided into five groups, each guided by university faculty members. On arrival, the delegation was welcomed by registrar Col Vinay Kumar, who also issued necessary instructions for the visit.
The students observed the functioning of the media cell, admission section, self-learning material unit, and examination department, and also visited key administrative offices.
The visit included a tour of the university's central library, where students explored available resources and expressed interest in accessing the facility in the future.
