PRAYAGRAJ: Schools in Prayagraj up to Class 8 will now run earlier in the day as temperatures continue to rise sharply in the region. The district administration has revised school timings following a heatwave alert, shifting classes to 7.30am to noon from April 20. The order, issued by the Basic Siksha Adhikari (BSA), applies to all schools across boards, including CBSE, ICSE, aided and recognised institutions. Officials said the decision was taken to protect children from the intense afternoon heat, with strict compliance directed across the district.
