Prayagraj: The Allahabad high court on Monday adjourned till Feb 3 the hearing of the petition wherein an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey has been sought for the Gyanvapi mosque's wazukhana (ablution) area, excluding the structure described by the Hindu side as a Shivling and the Muslim side as a fountain.
Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal adjourned the case as the matter is engaging the attention of the apex court and the interim order is in operation. The court was hearing a civil revision petition filed by Rakhi Singh, one of the plaintiffs in Shringar Gauri Worshiping suit before a Varanasi court.
