Former BJP MLA Neelam Karwaria passes away after liver transplant in Hyderabad

Neelam Karwaria, a former BJP MLA from Meja constituency in Uttar Pradesh, has died at the age of 55 in Hyderabad after undergoing a liver transplant. She leaves behind her husband Udaybhan Karwaria and three children. Her body is expected to be brought back to Prayagraj this afternoon.

Neelam Karwaria, a former BJP MLA from Meja constituency in Uttar Pradesh, has died at the age of 55 in Hyderabad after undergoing a liver transplant.
NEW DELHI: Former BJP MLA from Meja in Prayagraj, Neelam Karwaria, has passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad. She was 55 years old. Karwaria had been in the hospital for the past ten days for a liver transplant and her condition deteriorated on Thursday night, leading to her death.Vachaspati, the current MLA from Bara constituency, confirmed the news, saying, "Karwaria had been admitted to the hospital around 10 days ago for a liver transplant. Her condition deteriorated on Thursday night, leading to her demise."She is survived by her husband, Udaybhan Karwaria, and their three children: daughters Samriddhi and Sakshi, and son Saksham. Neelam Karwaria won the Meja seat in 2017 on a BJP ticket.Udaybhan Karwaria, former MLA from the Bara constituency, was released from Naini Central Jail on July 25 after nearly nine years. He had been convicted in the murder of former Samajwadi Party MLA Jawahar Yadav and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was released on the Governor's recommendation.Neelam Karwaria's body is expected to be brought back to Prayagraj this afternoon.
