Gujarat: OpenAI partners with IIM-A, others for AI collaboration and applications

Ahmedabad: Tech major OpenAI on Wednesday announced partnerships with Indian educational institutes for training and research. These institutes included IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad (IIM-A), AIIMS New Delhi, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, and Pearl Academy.In a statement a day after the announcement, IIM-A mentioned that "IIM-A is laying the foundation for a comprehensive AI ecosystem on campus that integrates teaching, research, industry collaboration, and innovation into management education, covering areas such as strategy, operations, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and public policy".The statement added that the collaboration will support faculty enablement through AI-informed teaching and evaluation frameworks, while "activating IIM-A's innovation ecosystem to drive industry partnerships, sponsored research, and start-up incubation".The B-school will deploy ChatGPT Edu across its degree and executive education programmes and also build AI capability through training, hands-on projects, and industry-linked initiatives.
