CBSE Class 12: A’bad region scores 90.60% overall
Ahmedabad: As the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced its results for Class 12 on Wednesday, the Ahmedabad region recorded a pass percentage of 90.60%, 5.40 % higher than the national pass percentage of 85.20%. Girls have an overall pass percentage of 92 %, outperforming boys (89.52%.) The CBSE Class 12 exams were held from Feb 17 to April 10.
Most schools registered a 100% result. Students too scored full in various subjects. With a 97.2% score, Vurchasva Gokhale emerged the topper in science stream at Delhi Public School, Bopal. Ayush Dodwani topped Divine Child School (Adalaj) with a 97.6% score.
By scoring 92.6 %, Falak Patel (science) topped St Kabir School. At Zydus School For Excellence (Godhavi), Kopal Gahoi emerged on top with a 94.4%. result. At Army Public School, the topper was Krant Chaudhary with 93.8%. At Adani Vidya Mandir, Vinayak Parmar emerged as the school topper by scoring 96.40%. Smile Bhanja (93.4%) topped PM Shri KV, Ahmedabad Cantt.
The topper at DAV International School was Sriyansh Das with a 94.4 % result while Jaitra Vyas topped Prakash School by scoring 97.6%.
Commerce, humanities students prove their mettle

Ahmedabad: Students who had chosen commerce and humanities gave a tough fight to science students. Shreiya Saproo (DPS Bopal) scored a scintillating 98.6% in commerce. In humanities, Ishitva Singh emerged as the topper with 97.8%. Vatsak Pandya was the Zydus School for Excellence (Godhavi) topper in Commerce with 96.8%. Abha Lakhangaonar, meanwhile, took the top honours in humanities with a score of 96.2%. Udita Biswas (97%) and Pavani Ahluwalia (94%) were toppers in humanities and commerce stream respectively at the Army Public School.
A score of 98.6% made Shriya Dave the commerce stream topper at Udgam School For Children. Priya Saini was the school topper in humanities with a 98.4% score. At Zebar School For Children, Vishan Jetpariya was the commerce topper (97.8%) and Dhruvi Karia topped humanities (93.8 %). For DAV International School, Shiksha Jha was the commerce topper (97.2 %). In humanities, Samya Shah made the school proud by scoring 90.6%.
By scoring 96%, Shakshi Shah emerged as topper in commerce stream at Divine Child School, Adalaj. Ankita Kriplani emerged the topper in humanities scoring 96.6%. In commerce stream, Namya Shah with 97.80% topped Adani Vidya Mandir. Purva Rathod from humanities emerged as the school topper by scoring 93.40%.
By scoring 97.8%, Deepika Singh and Shruti Shingrakhiya emerged toppers in commerce and humanities at PM Shri KV Ahmedabad Cantt.
