Ahmedabad: New teams of IMA to take guard today
Ahmedabad: The new office-bearers of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and IMA Gujarat State Branch (IMA-GSB) will participate in the installation ceremony on Sunday morning in the presence of Union home minister Amit Shah and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel. The event is part of the ongoing IMA NATCON 2025 in the city. It is the 100th edition of the flagship event of the IMA.On the first day of the event, some of the keynote speakers included Dr Ramakant Panda, Dr B Bhaskara Rao, Dr Shashank Joshi, Dr Rakesh Shah, and Dr Aseem Shukla, who spoke on advanced medical practices in their respective fields. They focused on evidence-based approaches and the integration of cutting-edge technology in medicine.
The organizing team from Gujarat said the focus of the conference is the confluence of cutting-edge technology with age-old wisdom. "Today, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI-ML) are revolutionising all fields, and medicine is not an exception. Doctors need to continuously update themselves in the evolving technology while ensuring the ethos of the profession," said an organizer from IMA-GSB.Several scientific sessions by experts from India and abroad were held as part of the event, which has seen the participation of about 5,000 healthcare professionals, said organisers. Some other themes included medical ethics, patient care, digitisation, and evolving patient-caregiver relationships.
