Dehradun: Uttarakhand has launched the first phase of Census 2027—house listing and housing enumeration—under the Har Dwar Dastak campaign from April 25 to May 24. Enumerators will collect data on amenities and assets through 33 questions.
Between April 10–23, over 62,000 citizens completed self-enumeration digitally, with Dehradun leading at 10,884. For the exercise, 20,859 enumerators and 3,670 supervisors have been appointed.
The state has been divided into 29,567 digital House Listing Blocks, mapped via the HLBC portal. Director Iva Ashish Srivastav said this marks India’s first fully mobile app-based digital census, a milestone in the Digital India campaign.
