Agra: Police in Mathura district found bodies of two men from different places on Wednesday morning. The cops suspect that the two may have been murdered.
According to superintendent of police (crime) Ashok Kumar Meena, the body of first youth, identified as 24-year-old Pankaj Sharma, was found in Surir area near Yamuna Expressway. He said Sharma had four gunshot wounds on his body.
Meena added that the body of the other youth, identified as Vishwadeep Chaudhary (24), was found murdered in a jungle near the Veterinary hospital under the Sadar police jurisdiction,.
Vishwadeep was the son of an assistant land records officer and had been missing since Tuesday morning.
According to Surir police, Pankaj was suffering from kidney ailment and was undergoing dialysis. They added that his father Pappu Sharma had also died under mysterious circumstances a few months ago.
Police suspect that the murder could be an outcome of a land dispute. Pankaj’s relative Hari Krishan Sharma said that after his father’s death, few of his relatives and friends allegedly wanted to usurp his land, as he was the only successor.
He said that someone called him up on his phone on Tuesday evening and a day later his body was found near the expressway.
Meanwhile, the police have said that the investigations are on and the body has been sent for postmortem.
