Ali Fazal wraps up final schedule of period drama Lahore 1947
Actor Ali Fazal has wrapped up his final shooting schedule for the period drama Lahore 1947. The completion comes after a hectic few months for the actor, who recently finished the Mumbai and Benaras schedules of Mirzapur: The Movie. Managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, Fazal continues to demonstrate his commitment to diverse and impactful storytelling.
Directed by filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, Lahore 1947 features a stellar ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi. Set against the emotionally charged backdrop of India’s Partition, the film delves into themes of loss, resilience, and human connection, making it one of the most anticipated releases on the cinematic horizon.
Reflecting on the journey, Fazal described the experience as deeply emotional and creatively demanding, noting that working with seasoned actors and an experienced director proved to be a learning curve. With Lahore 1947 nearing completion, Ali Fazal continues to strengthen his position as one of the most versatile actors of his generation.
