New Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV teaser reveals full-length glass roof, other design details

Showcased as a part of the company's BE (Born Electric) range of electric SUVs, the BE.05 is expected to be the first product to be launched out of the said range, expected to hit the markets by October 2025.

Pratap Bose, Chief Design Officer, Mahindra & Mahindra has shared a teaser image of the upcoming BE.05 electric SUV that was originally debuted exactly a year ago. Showcased as a part of the company's BE (Born Electric) range of electric SUVs, the BE.05 is expected to be the first product to be launched out of the said range, expected to hit the markets by October 2025.

That said, the latest teaser reveals the BE.05 in a slightly more production-ready state as compared to the concept showcased last year.The bird's-eye view image reveals the sculpted bonnet design of the electric SUV, while it also reveals the EV's full-length glass roof, which of course, cannot be opened. Moreover, the doors and the tailgate of the BE.05 are opened, revealing the slim end-to-end running tail-light.
The BE.05 concept was originally unveiled with an aggressive looking front-end, equipped with large C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The SUV coupe will feature a sloping roofline, however, the latest teaser only reveals the top of the vehicle. On the inside, the BE.05 is expected to feature a massive connected dual-display setup integrating the infotainment system and the instrument cluster.

The Mahindra BE.05 will be based on the company's dedicated EV platform called 'INGLO'. It could be equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack offering a range of up to 450 km on a single charge. The new platform is claimed to support a power output of up to 335 hp with a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. The single motor version could get a RWD configuration with up to 228 hp peak power.
