Days after TOI Auto spotted the upcoming MG Comet micro-EV on the streets of Delhi NCR, pictures of another camouflaged version of the affordable EV have now surfaced. It is expected that the two-door EV will be launched in India sometime in April 2023 and is expected to be priced around the Rs 10 lakh mark. This would put the micro-EV in direct competition with the outgoing Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen EC3.
The Comet EV is essentially a rebadged version of MG’s sister brand Wuling’s Air EV. Here is what you can expect from this affordable electric.

The MG Comet will be the second fully electric offering from the brand in India, after the ZS-EV. It is expected to be launched in two battery pack options of 20 kWh and 25 kWh. The range on offer from these battery packs is expected to be between 150 km to 200 km on a full charge. New incoming information also suggests that the battery packs will feature lightweight LFP (Lithium-iron Phosphate) chemistry that offers longer lifespan and lower discharge of energy.
