Citroen C3 Electric set to be revealed in India tomorrow: Expected price, features, specs

Citroen recently confirmed the launch date of its first electric car in India on its official Twitter handle. The French carmaker revealed that it is all set to reveal the EV tomorrow, i.e. September 29. While Citroen has refrained from revealing what car it is, we believe that the upcoming EV is none other than a fully-electric version of the C3.

The C3 Electric was also recently spied testing on Indian roads, while a parked test mule was also spotted, connected to a charger. Citroen is not expected to introduce any major design changes for the all-electric C3 over the ICE version of the car. The charging port will be placed on the front right fender.

Talking about the specs, the C3 Electric is expected to be offered with a single electric motor, with a battery pack providing a range of around 300 km on a single full charge. Citroen could add in some extra features over the regular C3, however, it is yet to be confirmed

Features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, height-adjustable driver's seat, four speakers, a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio controls are all expected to be carried over.

That said, the C3 Electric will serve as a direct rival to the Tata Tiago EV that has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Considering the fact that the ICE C3 is priced from Rs 5.71 lakh to Rs 8.06 lakh (ex-showroom), the electric version of the compact hatchback could be priced around the Rs 10 lakh mark.
