Hyundai Motor India recently announced a refreshed and more accessible pricing for the select variants of the Hyundai i20 hatchback. The ‘Era’ variant has been reintroduced, bringing the hatchback’s entry price down by around Rs 74,000. In addition, the automaker has also cut prices for the mid-spec Magna Executive and Magna variants. With this move, Hyundai has made its premium hatchback more accessible to buyers. The Hyundai i20 hatch is offered in seven variants - Era, Magna Executive, Magna, Sportz, Sportz opt, Asta and Asta opt with prices ranging from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 10.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Baleno is offered in four variants - Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha with prices ranging from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the Hyundai i20 and the Maruti Baleno start at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom), but the i20 stretches higher, topping out at Rs 10.45 lakh compared to the Baleno’s Rs 9.10 lakh.
